I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making massive earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters met for the usual confrontation, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly going ahead.
